According to this support document, the update is recommended for all users and improves the security of Mac OS X. It addresses issues with CoreAudio, CUPS, ImageIO, Image RAW, OpenSSL and the Flash Player plug-in. Security Update 2010-001 for Snow Leopard weighs in at 21.90MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.2.
