News Apple Releases MacBook and MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Updates Monday, November 13, 2006 - 8:29 PM EST Apple has released the MacBook EFI Firmware Update 1.0 via Mac OS X's Software Update Utility and on the Web. According to the company, this EFI Firmware Update fixes several Boot Camp, start up, and wake-from-sleep issues on MacBook computers. The Macbook EFI Firmware Update 1.0 weighs in at 1.6MB. After the firmware update is successfully applied to your computer, your Boot ROM Version will be: MB11.0061.B03. Apple also released the MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.2. According to the company, this EFI Firmware Update fixes several Boot Camp, start up, and wake-from-sleep issues on MacBook Pro computers. The Macbook Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.2 weighs in at 2.7MB. After the firmware update is successfully applied to your computer, your Boot ROM Version will be: MBP11.0055.B08 (MacBook Pro 15 inch) or MBP12.0061.B03 (MacBook Pro 17 inch).
