Review: iSkin ProTouch keyboard covers
MacNN - "There's only so much one can say about a keyboard cover and MacNN has looked at a few from different manufacturers, so I was hesitant to write up another one. Yet, iSkin sent me MacBook and PowerBook ProTouch keyboard covers that seem somehow different, so I decided to take a closer look."

Review: Sleevz and ScreenSavrz for MacBook and MacBook Pro
MyMac -"Keeping your MacBook or MacBook Pro looking shiny and new isn't easy. As amazing as Apple's laptops look when new, the speed with which they get marked and scratched can be equally amazing. Part of the problem is the materials used. The paint finish used on the Titanium-series PowerBooks simply didn't stick to the underlying metal and plastic, with the inevitable result that paint would scratch or flake away remarkably quickly. Later PowerBooks were better, and the current MacBook Pro series is relatively scratch-resistant, but they can still get marked and dinged...

When MacBooks Attack
MacNewsWorld - "MacBook laptops have developed a reputation for a variety of maladies ranging from persistent annoying sounds to sudden shutdown syndrome. Apple offers fixes but remains careful about officially acknowledging widespread problems."

Hairline MacBook cracks appearing
ZDNet -"I received this photo from a reader concerned about the appearance of hairline cracks around the edge of the case near the hinge. How many of us honestly look at the back of our laptops? Well I did tonight and what do I see- stress cracks around the hinges, around the vents, and all along the back edge! Just look at the pictures! I'm never rough with my MacBook. It lives inside a messenger bag with a suede interior, and if it's not there, it's on my desk."

Give Your MacBook a Lift: Griffin Elevator Notebook Stand
PBCentral - "My desktop computing setup consists of my iBook G4 attached to a 19" LCD monitor, an external keyboard and mouse, and a host of USB peripherals. Plopping my iBook down on the desk amidst all of this extra stuff makes for a terrible viewing angle; the computer's screen really needs to be raised up to near eye-level for anything approaching decent ergonomics. Once the iBook is in place, however, I'm afforded the luxuries of a desktop computing experience with the unplug and go flexibility of owning a laptop."

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo Review
NotebookReview - "When Apple announced its transition to Intel, there was the expectation that hardware updates would become more frequent. So it came as a surprise when Apple was slow to move to the newer, more efficient Core 2 Duo processor. Eventually, not only did Apple switch to the 64-bit processor, they also added many features that were left out of the original MacBook Pro, namely a dual-layer DVD burner and FireWire 800. They also added a larger 120 GB hard drive, 1 GB of RAM, and a now unlocked 802.11n AirPort Extreme. Apple was also able to improve the cooling, which allowed them to speed up a grossly underclocked ATI Mobility X1600 and be more competitive with the competition. On paper, the Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro looks more like what the Core Duo version should have been, but does that prove to be true in real world use? Let's find out!"

Tricking out the MacBook Pro
Macworld - "I'm the proud owner of an original MacBook Pro - the early model with only a 1.83GHz Core Duo processor. Overall, I've been quite happy with it; it's been problem-free and a pleasure to use. That said, like many owners of this model, I'm beginning to get a mild case of upgrade-itis. The latest models - which are likely to be replaced by even newer models in the near future - sport 802.11n wireless, larger hard drives, faster optical drives, and faster processors. "

Review: 17-inch MacBook Pro
Mac|Life - "While the 17-inch MacBook Pro was in our care, it became affectionately known as "the cafeteria tray." No, there's no relation between sloppy joes and Apple's high-end notebook. It's just that the size and shape of this MacBook Pro reminds us a lot of the dimensions of a typical cafeteria tray - although using it like one wasn't part of our battery of tests. We love the 17-inch MacBook Pro in all its supersized glory."
