We are using Comcast cable for the provider and I am only 35' from the router. When it works it's quicker than hell. Mostly the signal keeps being dropped and I must log in again and again with my password....
Any ideas or comments are really appreciated.

Have you tried using a different channel ?

It could be interference interrupting the channel you have selected. Common sources of interference around the home are Microwave Ovens, Cordless Phones, Garage door openers or even a neighbours wifi.

The wifi can normally be set to channels 1 through to 11 with the default usually around 6. Trying another channel in your router as far away from the current one might sort it out.
